Covid Safe Hair Experience at Unique – Beverley

The services I received at Unique Beverley were gifted but as always, I’ll be completely honest about my experiences and opinions.

Having ones hair done can make you feel completely brand new! I know for me, it’s part of what makes me feel confident. I’ve got lovely thick hair, which can be a bit of a pain but I’ve been lucky that it’s bouncy, styles and colours well and I have only ever had one gray hair! Promise I’m not bragging 🙈

Finding a hairdresser that you love is important too, in my opinion. Too often, I’ve walked out of a salon unhappy and too shy to say anything about my hair (me, shy? Yes exactly!)

So when I found Nat (pictured with me below) I knew I wasn’t going to let her go. I followed Nat when she moved from a Hull salon to Beverley because this woman just gets me! Without further ado, here is how I found my time at Unique Beverley 🥰

Covid Safety is Paramount

I knew I was in good hands at Unique the moment I got to their door because I wasn’t allowed to enter for my patch test. This was done outside. I felt better about this than going in because it’s such a quick process that I feel it mitigates any potential risk.

When I arrived on the day of my hair appointment, my temperature was taken at the door. Again, this put me at ease as I knew Unique were taking my health and safety and that of the other customers and staff really seriously. I was directed to Nat’s area so there wouldn’t be any overlap with other people and both staff and customers were expected to wear masks.

I was there for at least 3 hours as I was getting my hair coloured and at no point did I feel uncomfortable or unhappy with the expectation to wear a mask. The salon was lovely and airy and has such a calm and relaxing feel to it! In all honesty, it was the little slice of calm and sanity I needed at that moment in time!

Other members of staff in the salon and management came over to say hi, introduce themselves and generally show an interest in you. It felt like I wasn’t just a client and they didn’t just care about ££! They truly valued each and every person who came through the door and I can totally see why people are so loyal to the salon!

The actual mop chop!

So, as I already knew Nat, I knew she’d kill it ❤️ we have very similar ideas on what suits me in terms of both cut and colour and I LOVE that she is completely honest with me. As a teacher, I want beautiful and stylish hair but I also need low maintenance because time is precious. Nat always makes sure my style works for me and lasts a really long time because she knows I’m not the kind of gal who can get into the salon every 6 weeks!

Unique Salons – Where can you find them?

Unique have branches in Hessle, Cottingham and Beverley. Of course, I’m slightly biased because Nat is based in Beverley but I HIGHLY recommend paying her and the Beverley team a visit! They always have offers running (and we all love to save some coin 😋) so they’re worth checking out. I’ll link their socials below:

Do let me know if you visit any of the Unique salons! ❤️ Especially if you visit Nat in Beverley – tell them Kat sent you! (Btw I don’t benefit from that, it’s just nice to hear if people choose to follow your recommendations!)

Until next time,
