This time last year, I uploaded a post called My Hopes for 2019 and then I reviewed my progress in a post in September called My 2019 Goals – An Update where I determined I had made pretty good progress. I noticed today that Lizzie Florence had a similar post. This post has been in my drafts for a while so I haven’t copied or vice versa. All I can say is great minds think alike!
Take some time each day for myself
Seems simple doesn’t it? I am the worst person for taking care of myself when I get busy so I am aiming to give myself at least 5 minutes a day where I do something for me. That could be painting my nails, lighting a candle. Anything.
Keep Saving Money
Lots of you know I recently bought a house! Literally the most exciting/terrifying/liberating thing ever and on the lead up, I had to be really good with my money. As we enter 2020, I aim to keep going!
Believe in myself
Again, it seems so simple but I have such terrible imposter syndrome in everything I do. Blogging, teaching, singing etc. I am pleased to say that I have already started to make progress with this one by putting myself out there with my blog content, Instagram and most recently, making a set list so I can start taking my singing outside of my house!
Make a commitment to my health
If you follow me on Instagram, this might confuse you because I spoke very strongly about not losing weight and being happy with myself but there is a difference with the above point. Last year, I went to Clubbercise, Zumba, Salsa etc and that sadly stopped at the end of the year. I don’t feel any pressure to lose weight but I do need to go back to doing some kind of class because it’s soooo good for clearing your mind and helping with stress relief.
Spend more time with friends
Again, sounds stupid but the festive period gave me lots of time to spend with friends and family. I absolutely loved it. In the throes of work, it’s so hard to fit to everyone’s schedules but I’m committed to making memories with my pals this year.
I’d love to hear if you have any goals for 2020! Wishing you all a happy new year ❤️
