Heyyy! I’m so sorry I’ve been AWOL! I have been inundated with things to do for work and other exciting things in the pipeline 🙂 but here I am with another fashion post.
I seem to have acquired quite a bit of orange-y/rust coloured clothing recently and I’m actually not surprised. It seems like an understandable follow on from the whole mustard trend last year. Is it in fashion? Must be because I can buy it haha but honestly, I’ve stopped really watching the new styles and catering to that. I just buy what I like and style it in a KAT like way 😂 without further ado, let’s take a look at what I got!
Tesco F&F Leopard Midi Dress (£9 on sale)
I cannot tell you how many compliments I have had about this dress and it was so super cheap! It was part of the F&F winter sale. This is a midi dress but as I’m so short it’s almost maxi on me, not that I minded. It’s made of that unflattering, stretchy material BUT is surprisingly flattering due to the perfectly placed ruching in the middle of the dress. This really emphasises my waist and busy whilst giving the illusion that my tummy is smaller than it actually is!
I love the tiny little high next detail on this piece! It makes it feel very 70’s. Here I teamed it with my Primark pleather jacket but it is so versatile that i think it’ll be a staple in my wardrobe for many seasons to come!
I haven’t found a very similar one but this Dorothy Perkins number incorporates animal print and rust and BONUS! It’s in the sale 🙂 thank me later!
New Look Suede Tan Bag
This is old stock (I purchased in August) but as tan never seems to go out of style, it’s worth mentioning! This bag looks great with EVERYTHJNG! I’m yet to find something it doesn’t compliment. It’s deceptively spacious and really is an essential kind of bag every woman should have. This Forever 21 bag is similar and would be a proper investment piece!
George at Asda Silk Split Leopard Skirt (£4 in the sale)
If it’s not mega obvious, I love a good sale! This skirt just had to come home with me so it’s actually at least a size too big! It is a fixed wrap style which splits in the middle and it makes you feel very sassy 💁🏻♀️
Due to the wrap design, it also ruches ever so slightly across the tummy making it extremely forgiving for those who just love creme eggs as much as I do 😉
This Boohoo skirt isn’t leopard, it’s 🦓 but it’s a close match for shape and also still totally bang on trend.
Primark Stripe Tee and Batwing Cardigan (£4 and £9 respectively)
Some days I just want to chill out in my comfies BUT I also want to keep it cool and stylish! You can’t beat a good basic batwing cardi and it made my day to find it in this rust colour! I teamed it with a cute mustard striped tee, which you can see close up below. I’ve since warn the top/cardi convo with jeans, high waisted trousers, skirts and leggings so I’m definitely feeling the value for money. In the image below, I had a go at styling it and personalising it with my patches from Tessies. Check out the quirky, gorgeous stock at Tessies here!
I hope you’ve liked this brief look at my rust obsession 😂 🖤
