Tarte Graveyard Girl Swamp Queen Palette

Over Christmas, I really was not very well and unfortunately for me, I missed out on lots of the Boxing Day sales. Whilst catching up on all things social media I saw that TARTE include all Customs fees in with their prices when ordering. I had heard lots about that and really did want to try some of their makeup so I took a browse on the website.

The first thing that I noticed is that when they say they are having a sale, they mean they are having a SALE! The prices they were charging where absolutely insane in a good way!

Now my favourite go to products eyeshadows without a doubt because they can change your look up so quickly! I found an eye palette called Graveyard Girl Swamp Queen on offer – 9 eyeshadows, a blusher, a bronzer and a highlighter for £21! Bargain, I thought!

So I waited and waited and it seemed to take forever to come but don’t let that put you off! I was a silly person who ordered over the Christmas period during all those bank holidays from America- I mean of course it was going to take a long time! The one great thing about that is that everything was trackable from the moment the order was processed.

And now for the palette itself! The first thing that you notice is there a huge mirror that you get with this palette and automatically this makes it 100% more attractive. There is a gorgeous inspirational message printed onto the mirror which I’ll insert a picture of below.

The shade range is interesting. Will that you can create with this are generally quite neutral earthy looks but for me this was perfect as I spend the grand majority of my time at work and I don’t want to look like Koko the Clown 😂

The blendability of the eyeshadows is top notch- I mean I would go as far as saying they are as good as the Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows, without as much fall out. There is a cute mix of matte and shimmer shades so you can mix things up if you want to pop a bit more sparkle into your life!

Let’s talk a minute and be real about the bronzer, the blusher and the highlighter. To look at the blusher , it looks super pink and as a pale person, super pink isn’t really going to work. The same for the bronzer, Too dark in the pan! Get your lightest hand if you are pale and these are lovely. If you have a deeper skin tone, you can afford to apply a little more. The highlighter is a gorgeous good colour but the chunkiness of the glitter means it’s probably a bit extra for the day to day looks!

All in all, it’s a superb purchase, I forgot to mention it smells freaking delicious. If you’re after a treat from the USA and you like natural, mineral make up, check Tarte out!
